Go-to Girl

The Partner I work for hosted his small team of Associates at the Westchester Country Club last Friday. There are perks to working for Biglaw. We spent the afternoon at the Beach Club experiencing how the other half enjoys the ocean (apparently public beaches are for chumps. Who knew). As seven of us lounged on the sand, this exact conversation happened: Fellow Associate: "What is the latest with the whole Spencer Heidi thing?" Partner: "I don't know, we better ask Marie." In an environment where people pride themselves on all things intellectual, it is good to know I have developed a reputation as the resident TMZ expert. You are welcome BYU, for my ambassadorship.

We all have to have our skills. Of course its a bit sad that yours can easily be replaced by an OK Magazine subscription....

:)

I would like to think I am at least equal to the true heavyweights in the industry, People and Us. Though I would even accept TMZ and The Soup.

Ok, you can be upgraded to a People. It's too bad you aren't regularly on camera anymore cause you can be just as funny as Joel. Remember when you made fun of mormon Democrats and it was a hilarious piece and we made dorky Dale absolutely furious with us? Yeah, you could have been big.

So, what did you tell them?

I love everything about this story. I reference "The Bachelor" and other reality shows at least once a lecture...the truth is everyone wants to know the stuff but only some of us admit that we love it. And I do. Miss you!
